A policy roundtable event at the University of Bath for young people from Southwest England.
Young people from across the Southwest have been invited to a roundtable event to share views on system issues that increase the risks of young people being out of education, training or work. As well as identifying the issues, the group will explore what should be done about it.
Building on research into early school leaving with young people and educators which shone a light on some of the structural and systemic barriers to engagement, this event will deepen understanding of young people’s views on priority solutions.
Following a roundtable event with professionals and educators in February ’25, this session will be invaluable in helping the research team ensure that recommendations shared with policymakers reflect the views and voices of young people themselves.
